The Department of Computer Science and Engineering started in 1991.  Global excellence and local relevance in teaching, research, and technology development is the main objective of the department. The Department is imparting quality education at the level of Integrated Certificate and Diploma (ICD) in Computer Science and Engineering, B.E. (Computer Science & Engineering), M.Tech. (Computer Science and Engineering) and Ph.D. Today the Department has a vibrant student body numbering about 700. Students of postgraduate and Ph.D. are working on various advanced area of research and mostly students are supported by scholarships. The department also offers several attractive facilities for outstanding Ph.D. scholars and liberally supports participation in top-ranking international conferences. Department’s efforts towards the students provide a solid foundation in core and emerging areas of computer science and trains students to become independent researchers. Every year, the department produces very reputed research publications in top-tier conferences and journals.
